Outlier Ventures is proud to announce our latest cohort for our flagship Base Camp program focused on mainstream Web 3.0, infrastructure, and decentralized finance. Our commitment to backing great founders and accelerating early-stage startups has only grown stronger with the experience of multiple Web3 cycles over the years.
Mainstream Web3 is a key area of focus for us, as we look to onboard the next billion users through simplified end-user experiences that lower barriers to entry and present clear and innovative use cases. We are particularly interested in applications utilizing native account abstraction, scalable self-custody, on-chain social graphs, and front-end compliance tools to meet the demands of users.
The expanding Web3 infrastructure stack invites new innovations across computing primitives, and we are excited to be at the forefront of this trend. Our investments in this area will drive the growth of the ecosystem and support the development of new and innovative products.
The growth of the DeFi narrative is undeniable, and we are investing in projects that are driving innovation in on-chain financial products with predictable yields, collateralized lending, and currency hedging. We believe that these innovations will bring greater liquidity to the crypto market and drive up asset prices.
Finally, we believe that AI powered blockchain will play an increasingly important role in Web3, with generative AI democratizing content creation and blockchain-based ML model governance enabling community-owned AI. We are excited to be a part of this new and rapidly evolving landscape.
