Jon Valero, LatAm Base Camp Accelerator Lead, Outlier Ventures, said “We are thrilled to launch our first LatAm Base Camp focused on growing the Web3 ecosystem in the region. This presents a significant opportunity to support the founders who are not only driving innovation, but also addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of the region. It is with great pleasure that we welcome five outstanding teams to the program, where they will benefit from the expertise of Outlier Ventures, our partner Morgan Creek Digital, and the guidance of the mentors supporting the program. We look forward to seeing the progress and the impact these teams will make.”

Our inaugural LatAm Base Camp is underway, and we’re excited to announce the five startups that are bold enough to be a part of it.

Over twelve weeks, the cohort will get firsthand support from Outlier Ventures’ teams across marketing advisory, token design, engineering, investment, fundraising and more, along with guidance from the program’s Venture Partner, Morgan Creek Digital.

The selected teams were chosen from applications across the region and represent some of the most promising early-stage startups driving innovation in the LatAm ecosystem. Together, the teams are developing applications, products, and protocols that focus on consumer fintech solutions, OpenFI, financial inclusion, and DeFi.

Xavier Segura, General Partner, Morgan Creek Digital, said:  “We are thrilled to support the LatAm Base Camp with Outlier Ventures and help guide the founders in their first LatAm focused accelerator program. As Latin America’s Web3 startup ecosystem continues to evolve and mature, we are looking forward to supporting the founders that have joined the program.”

Meet the Cohort: Five Startups Leading the Way in Web3

Let’s take a closer looks at these Web3 startups making up our LatAm Base Camp cohort:

  • Bando (Mexico) Bando is redefining the payment experience for on-chain wallets and dApps. Their payment infrastructure lets crypto users spend directly with merchants like Amazon and Uber, making spending crypto as easy as swiping a card.
  • Berry Investing (Argentina) By tokenizing real-world assets, Berry makes it possible for anyone to invest in top companies – like Apple and Tesla – without needing a bank account. Berry’s blockchain-based approach opens doors for everyday investors, bringing greater inclusivity to Latin American retail investing.
  • Fact Finance (Brazil) Fact Finance is the oracle bridging real-world data to blockchain, helping companies move into Web3 with data they can trust. By connecting traditional markets with digital assets, Fact Finance empowers protocols to leverage real-time, reliable data.
  • Loula (Argentina) Loula blends traditional banking with stablecoins to give LatAm small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) access to fast, affordable cross-border payments, USD accounts, and trade finance. This solution is designed to break down barriers and support SMBs in scaling internationally.
  • IDENTI (Peru) IDENTI is all about making digital identity accessible, even in rural regions. With voice biometrics and phone call access, IDENTI lets farmers manage their data without needing internet or smart devices, paving the way for more secure and decentralized identity solutions in remote communities.
