Eden leads the cryptoeconomics practice at Outlier Ventures, where his team provides advisory and investment due diligence on the token economies and business models of web 3.0 and convergence (blockchain + AI, IoT, etc) companies.
Lawrence Lundy
Lawrence is a technology analyst and investor. He advises startups, corporates and the public sector on technology trends and strategy. He works with Radicalxchange, a global community rethinking economic and political institutions; Lunar Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in cutting-edge technology startups; and Outlier Ventures, a startup accelerator investing in Web3 software. At Outlier Ventures he shaped the investment thesis focussing on blockchains and other cryptographic and decentralized tools as the foundation for next-generation data infrastructure. The investment strategy resulted in over 35 investments including Brave, Ocean Protocol, and Fetch.ai.
Stephan Apel
Stephan is Managing Partner and Board Member. He joined as the fourth full time team member in 2016 after previously being one of the founding investors. Jointly with Jamie, Stephan heads the overall development of the firm including strategic priorities, investments, finances, organisational set-up and growth.
Jamie Burke
As an early investor in Bitcoin and Ether Jamie went ‘all in’ during 2013 founding Outlier Ventures, Europe’s 1st venture fund and platform dedicated to blockchain and Web 3.
Since then we have built a portfolio including industry-defining projects such as Brave Browser, Fetch.ai, Ocean Protocol, DIA Data, Enigma / Secret Network and developed an award-winning Web 3 accelerator working with 30 pre-seed startups a year who we have helped raise over $130m in growth capital.
Aron van Ammers
Aron was Founding Partner with Jamie Burke in 2014. Besides leading the technical competency within Outlier, he works with the technical teams of Outlier’s portfolio companies to let them benefit optimally from Outlier’s experience, shared learning and academic and technical networks. Previously he has lead the development of various blockchain start-ups incubated by Outlier Ventures in-house, gaining invaluable experience in building on a multitude of distributed ledger technologies.
