Join our Partner and Head of Research Lawrence Lundy at the OECD’s Global Blockchain Policy Forum on the 13th of September 2019 in Paris.

Lawrence Lundy will be part of the panel on Day 2, Friday 13 September between 15.30pm and 16.30pm, where he will discuss how blockchain and AI are changing the world: An introduction to how blockchain technology and artificial intelligence intersect, brought to life with cutting-edge use cases from the real world.

The Global Blockchain Policy Forum is the OECD flagship annual event on blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies. Following the inaugural edition of the Forum in 2018 which was attended by more than 1 000 people, the 2019 Forum will convene Ministers, senior decision-makers from the public and private sectors, experts, academics and other stakeholders to look at the policy implications in applications as diverse as stable coins, digital identity, anti-money laundering, governance, tokenisation as well as the intersect between blockchain and other emerging technology such as artificial intelligence.

This year, the Forum aims to:

  • Assess the development of blockchain over the past 12 months and delve into some of the specific use cases which have made significant in-roads towards wide-spread adoption;
  • Discuss the emerging policy responses including through the recent work of the OECD, and share best practices identified across the world; and
  • Look ahead to emerging trends in the blockchain industry, and hear from stakeholders on how policy can best support viable and fit-for-purpose innovation and adoption of distributed ledger technologies.
